History

1975–1991
After graduating from the University of Tulsa, my classmate James Millspaugh and I launched our first signage business. What began as a small job shop creating hand-crafted signs for local businesses gradually evolved into a more sophisticated operation. By the early 1980s, we were designing and producing custom signage and environmental graphics for hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use developments across North America. Remarkably, many of those original installations, crafted under the name Eslick & Millspaugh Graphics, are still in place today.

In 1991, I partnered with longtime friend and colleague Kerry Walsh to form EslickWalsh Signage Group. We offered design and coordination services for integrated resorts and commercial properties. By 1993, the company evolved into ESLICKDESIGN focusing on signage planning, design, and implementation, primarily within the gaming industry. Over time, our work expanded internationally with clients including Caesars, Crown, Hard Rock, Melco, MGM, Wynn and numerous Native American casino resorts.

My background as a sign contractor has always informed our design approach. Understanding not just aesthetics, but also fabrication, materials, and installation logistics, has given ESLICKDESIGN a unique advantage in delivering thoughtful, buildable, and lasting signage solutions.

Analysis
We offer expert, experience-driven analysis of existing or proposed signage across all facility types and development projects. This includes site visits, documentation of current conditions, critical evaluations of past design efforts, and the development of clear, actionable recommendations. Our goal is to uncover smart, practical, and forward-thinking solutions that set the stage for successful implementation.

Planning
Acting as the owner's representative, we support planning and design efforts from the start—helping define strategic, achievable goals for signage programs. We participate in team meetings (in person or virtually), provide informed feedback, and deliver concise summaries and recommendations to keep the process aligned and moving forward.

Design
We provide full-spectrum design services, from early concept development to detailed drawings and renderings. Our design work is grounded in creativity and tailored to meet operational needs while exceeding client expectations—ensuring that both function and visual impact are thoughtfully addressed.
